Chief Internal Events Reported.
(a) Black Market operators in Hong Kong Dollars in Canton are being arrested. (Sing Tao Jih Pao, 22/4).
(6) Taiwan is to be a province of China, and have full status as such. (Wah Kiu Yat Po, 23/4).
(c) The terrorists who exploded a bomb on the S.S. "Kwang Tung" have been executed. (Sing Tao Jih Pao, 24/4).

(a) Prices of daily necessities are sky-rocketing in Canton. (Kung Sheung Daily Press, 24/4).
(e) Dr. Hollington K. Tong is to be Government spokesman at all future press conferences. (Wah Kiu Yat Po, 25/4).
(f) Remittances to Hong Kong and Macao from China are prohibited as from April 25. (Wah Kiu Yat Po, 25/4).
(g) Banditry in South-West China is on the increase, and the sizes of bandit gangs are growing: 500 attacked a city in Sui Kai district and 600 pirated two junks near Chungkong (Tai Kwong Pao, 23/4); 7000 are operating in Hainan (Chung Shan Jih Pao, 21/4); 3000 are operating in South-West Kwangtung
(Chien Kuo Jih Pao, 22/4).
